逆夢 / SAKAYUME: Japanese word which means «dream contradicted by reality»

A dream is an intangible reality that disappear as soon as you open the eyes. It is often described as a parallel world, a virtual refuge where to espace reality. Similarly, mirror duplicates reality but even if the reflect looks perfect there is a bit of distortion that distincts our world and its copy. The question is not only about the aspect of the image reflected, its existence depends on the subject being in front of surface to observe it.
This body of work is a selection of analog photographs taken in Europe but also Japan. It involves different tricks like long exposure and double exposure to alter the subject. Shooting with film allows to take a picture on top of another which brings two different subject together. Most of the time they do not match but sometimes, they merge into an expected result that gives another perspective on reality. The dicey aspect of this process is a big part of its interest.
