This photograph was taken the day of the thirty years old birthday of a good friend of mine. None of us appear on this one but, it will always remember me that day. This picture, or should I say this attempt of capturing the essence a moment of life end up showing a unique color gradation.
Similarly, the following images were taken during a party with a polaroid camera. When it appeared, it was mainly blue, an intense blue like the french kings used to be dressed with or the one Klein used to employ. One day later, the shade tuned into a random display of colors. Those pictures represent for me the antithesis of photographs as they depict everything but the subject, following their own logic. In contrast with the immediacy of a snapshot, the artefact offers a timeless aspect to those images.
