The previous owner of this house built a big aquarium to make the partition between the entrance and the living room. After buying the house, the new family tried to maintain the existing eco-system but couldn't keep up with the work it represents so the aquarium remain empty for couple of years.
Seven years after, they felt the need of a complete renovation of the house and called the architect Atelier Kermelven. The entrance and the living room needed more storage as well as a better harmony of material. Therefore they decided to demolished the empty aquarium, the storage above and the cabinet below it to replace it by a birch plywood cabinet. It consists of three cupboard compartment and a bookshelves above it. The rest of the wall on its left, as well as the door which gives access to the cellar, are cladded with plywood to reinforce the presence of the wood. BIRCH ENTRANCE CABINET
