Before he even graduated, Elliot Di Martino was already drawing the firsts sketches of a house on a land his mother bought. The plot is located on the side of a hill along the Loire river, above a railway line. The house is organised around a big living room which can fully open on the garden, blurring the limit between inside and outside.
Regarding the contemporain aesthetic of the interior, showcasing raw concrete structure and white plaster finish, cabinets had to bring some warmth. In agreement with the client, we decided to use pine plywood for its resistance and the beauty of its pattern. All the cabinets are part of the architecture, they fit into dedicated niches and often appear like surfaces, almost like paintings. PINE PLYWOOD HOUSE FURNISHING
